ACTS joins inaugural Ecumenical Fellowship Games, deepening unity among future church leaders
The Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS) participated in the pilot edition of the Ecumenical Fellowship Games held March 27, 2026 in Quezon City, bringing together seminarians for a day of sports, fellowship, and ecumenical engagement aimed at fostering camaraderie and promoting holistic well-being among future church workers.
Participating as well in the initiative were St. Andrew’s Theological Seminary (SATS), a concordat seminary of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines and the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI); Union Theological Seminary Philippines (UTS), a joint seminary of the United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ in the Philippines; and ACTS of the IFI.
Hosted by SATS, the event gathered seminarians in a spirit of unity and shared formation, expressed through friendly competitions in basketball and volleyball. The games provided a venue for building relationships across denominational lines while nurturing teamwork and mutual encouragement.
Rev. Dr. Gloria Lita Mapangdol welcomed the participating seminaries at the opening of the event, while Rev. Dcn. Sunshine Dulnuan delivered the words of gratitude at the closing. The ACTS delegation was led by its Rector and Academic Dean, Rev. Dr. Eleuterio Revollido. Also present were Prof. Revelation Velunta (UTS), along with ACTS faculty members Rev. Laarni Inguito and Rev. Dr. Danilo Ito.
The Ecumenical Fellowship Games is envisioned as a continuing initiative that strengthens relationships among theological institutions and contributes to the holistic formation of future church leaders through fellowship, cooperation, and shared witness.
